Len Andrews * - Builder (Baseball) - Class of 2025

Len Andrews’ baseball legacy is monumental. As a visionary manager for two decades, Len built the Campbellville Merchants into one of Canada’s most successful and dominant baseball teams throughout the 1950s and 60s. Under his leadership, his club amassed an impressive record of 411 wins, 122 losses and 16 ties, along with 12 Ontario Baseball Association championships and 11 consecutive first-place finishes in the Halton County League.

Len’s commitment to the sport went well beyond just managing the Merchants. He was a determined advocate for baseball at all levels, serving as President of the Halton County League and the Ontario Baseball Association. Consequently, he received an award from the Ontario Premier in recognition of his tireless work.

Ever the consummate builder, Len also authored The Village Nine, a book chronicling all of the Campbellville Baseball Club’s many achievements – many of them originally appearing in articles penned and ghostwritten by Len himself, who diligently submitted reports for publication in local newspapers.

After his Campbellville Merchants were inducted into the Milton Sports Hall of Fame’s inaugural class in the team category in 2016, Len was posthumously recognized himself by the Ontario Baseball Association Hall of Fame in 2023 as an inductee.

Len’s undeniable influence in developing and advancing baseball in Ontario will surely remain an inspiration for all, for generations to come.
